Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, I gained my earliest art appreciation and instruction from my artistic father. Much later, I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Colorado Sate University in Fort Collins where I lived for twenty-five years.

I now live, paint, and create in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I'm a member of the Pastel Society of New Mexico, and The National League of American Pen Women, as well as the Northern Colorado Artist Association, and Escribiente, the Albuqurque Calligraphy Socienty.

My works are greatly influenced by my hobbies such as bicycling and hiking, and my travels that have taken me to many interesting locales, including around my own neighborhood.

I especially enjoy painting with soft pastels because the pure pigment pastel sticks and pencils offer me the immediacy of drawing, yet I'm able to obtain vibrant, non-fading colors and rich, soft textures.

I invite you, the viewer of my art, whether it be an original painting, archival print, or note card, to join me in visiting pleasant, calming surroundings, perhaps invoking kind memories of similar settings along your own life's journey.
